23/04/2012 - Kawasaki Racing Team’s Paulin has obtained the first overall victory of the season on his new 450cc machine after being second and first in today’s heats. In the first heat, Paulin admitted that he made several mistakes because he is still getting used to the extra power of his bike, but he managed to finish second. However, in the second moto Paulin had an excellent race, and once he overtook Christophe Pourcel in the opening lap, he pulled away until the chequered flag.
Monster Energy Kawasaki Pro Circuit’s Christophe Pourcel did an incredible first race, getting the lead already in the first lap and dominating it until the end. In the second race, he took the holeshot and led the opening lap, but he admitted that he was surprised by Paulin’s speed and had to settle down for the second position.

The third step of the podium was for Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Cairoli after finishing fourth and third in today’s heats. The Italian, who is still leading the championship, suffered from arm pump in the beginning of both heats, so it was difficult for him to keep the speed. Cairoli decided to ride safe, get as many points as possible and he is now ready to improve his riding on hard pack to win on his home soil next weekend.
Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s De Dycker did not have a good start in the first race and was only seventh, but he got a much better start in the second moto, he fought against Cairoli and Desalle and he moved up to the third position at one point of the race. In the end, De Dycker was fourth in the second moto, which gave him an overall fourth position.

Team Floride Monster Energy Kawasaki Pro Circuit’s Searle had a perfect weekend in Sevlievo, as he did not only won the qualifying race yesterday, but he also obtained the first overall victory of the season today. Searle had really good starts in both heats and he managed to lead both races from the beginning. However, in the first moto he lost his front break and had to settle down with a third position. In the second one, he had no opponent and he dominated it from beginning to end.
The second position was for Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Herlings, who was very satisfied with his performance today, especially taking into account his starting position in both heats. Even starting from the outside, Herlings managed to ride at the front since the very beginning of both heats, and while he took advantage of Searle’s mechanical problem in the first heat to finish second, in the second moto he rode second from beginning to end.
Team Floride Monster Energy Kawasaki Pro Circuit’s Roelants succeeded in winning the first heat of the day, but the fourth position in the second one made him finish on the third step of the rostrum. Roelants has admitted that riding with Kawasaki this year has made improve his riding significantly, and the fact of having a hard pack specialist like Searle as teammate has helped him a lot to improve his riding on tracks like the one in Sevlievo.

Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Cairoli obtained two solid victories and he was very satisfied with his performance this weekend. The Italian admitted that yesterday had some problems with the settings of the bike but today everything went really well and in both motos he crossed the finish line with more than ten seconds advantage over the second classified.
The second overall position was for Rockstar Energy Suzuki World’s Desalle who finished second in both heats. The Belgian had really good starts in both motos, but when he got into the second place, Cairoli had already pulled a massive gap from Desalle and the Belgian had to settle down for the second position in both heats.
Monster Energy Yamaha’s Frossard was not really satisfied with his riding this weekend even finishing third overall. The French took the holeshot in the first heat, but he made several mistakes and he went out the track twice. However, Frossard managed to cross the finish line third and so he did in the second moto.
Kawasaki Racing Team’s Paulin was fourth overall in his debut in the MX1 class. He had a really good first race finishing fourth, but he was involved in a crash in the start of the second heat and he had to fight hard from behind. Paulin’s speed was really good and at some point he even overtook three riders in one lap. In the end he crossed the finish line seventh.

For third time in a row, Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Herlings went out with a double victory in front of the 23000 spectators that gathered together in Valkenswaard this weekend. The Dutch proved once again why he is known as the “King of the Sand” and he crossed the finish line with more than 54 seconds in the first race and 36 seconds in the second one.
Team Floride Monster Energy Kawasaki Pro Circuit’s Roelants impressed most of the paddock today with the overall second position. The Belgian admitted that he was a little bit too nervous in the first heat and he made a mistake in the start, but after some laps, he got really good rhythm and went from eleventh up to third. In the second heat he got a really good start and he overtook his teammate easily after the three first races and Roelants crossed the finish line second.
The third step of the podium was for Team Floride Monster Energy Kawasaki Pro Circuit’s Searle thanks to his second and third places. The British rider admitted that he was really satisfied with his performance today, as he is not a sand specialist rider, so he is now ready to go to Bulgaria to measure his speed with Herlings on the hard pack.

LA BAÑEZA (Spain), 19 June 2011 – Antonio Cairoli and Ken Roczen handed two overall victories to KTM in the Spanish track of La Salgada. Desalle is still the leader of the MX1 class and Roczen regained the red plate from his teammate Herlings.
Antonio Cairoli had a great weekend in Spain dominating yesterday’s qualifying race and obtaining a 2-1 result today. Second overall was David Philippaerts, who was on the podium in La Bañeza after two difficult Grand Prix. The third step of the podium was for his teammate Steven Frossard thanks to his 1-9 result. Fourth was Rui Gonçalves and completing the top five was Xavier Boog.
Ken Roczen succeeded in winning both heats even suffering from heavy pain on his back, and he placed himself first in the point standings of the MX2 class with six points advantage over Herlings. Thanks to two-second places Tommy Searle was on the second step of the podium and Gautier Paulin completed the top three. Fourth was Jeffrey Herlings and Tonus was fifth.
The second race of the UEM EMX-2 series took place early in the morning and Dylan Ferrandis went out with another win, which gave him the second round victory in a row. Second was Filip Bengtsson with a 2-2 result and the third step of the rostrum was for Donny Bastemeijer. Charles Lefrançois finished fourth overall but he became the new leader of the Championship with a 5 point advantage over Romain Febvre.

Red Bull Teka KTM Factory Racing MX1’s Cairoli arrived in Spain with a heavy pain in his thumb but he managed to get the overall victory after finishing second in the first heat and dominating the second race from the beginning to the end. Cairoli was the virtual red plate holder during the last lap, but Desalle made a last minute overtake and the Italian remained second in the point standings, just one point behind the Belgian.
Monster Energy Yamaha’s Phillipaerts was very satisfied with his second overall position, as he struggled a lot in the last Grand Prix after his overall victory in Brazil. Philippaerts was third in the first race, but he could only be fourth in the second one, as his energies fade away to keep the third position from Desalle’s pressure.
His teammate Steven Frossard did an incredible first race, and after an initial third position, he was able to overtake
Nagl and Cairoli and placed his Monster Energy Yamaha machine in the first position. Frossard started 15th in the second race and he could only finish ninth as he was suffering a lot of pain on his hand.
Rockstar Energy Suzuki World MX1’s Desalle was fourth overall due to his 5-3 results. Desalle made a mistake in the beginning of the first heat and had to ride without rear break during the whole heat as some green fence got stuck on his back wheel. In the second moto, Desalle also made several mistakes but he gave all his best to finish third and keep the red plate on his Suzuki machine.

Red Bull Teka KTM Factory Racing MX2’s Roczen admitted that he was not really happy with his start, but he was satisfied with his riding as he finished first, almost 23 second ahead of second qualified Tommy Searle. Such victory was very good for Roczen’s self confidence as he was only fifth in France.
CLS Monster Energy Kawasaki Pro Circuit’s Searle crossed the finish line in second position. The British rider explained that they need to do some changes on his bike, so they can be more competitive and try to obtain another overall win as they did in Saint Jean d’Angely last weekend.
Third was Bike-it Cosworth Wild Wolf Yamaha’s Tonus, who overtook Aubin with only two laps to go. The Swiss rider has ridden at the front in the previous Grand Prix, so he might be fighting for the podium tomorrow in the Portuguese track.

VANTAA (FINLAND), June 11th 2011 - French UFO-Racing team rider Milko Potisek got the win in today’s qualifying race ahead of Pellicari’s Swiss rider Julien Bill on what was a very hot day at the Vantaa-Speedway venue in Finland.
For the entire qualifying race Potisek couldn’t get away from Bill who just spent the whole moto studying where to pass the French rider. The two Honda mounted riders were on the same second for the whole 14 laps to maybe some displease of the Finnish crowd who expect to see wins from their local hero, Antti Pyrhonen. The Finn only managed to start in sixth position recovering afterwards until fourth place after being the second fastest on pre-qualifying.
Third place went to Tom Söderström, the same position he got during time practice. The Swedish rider is definitely showing the experience acquired in the world stage and will be up for the podium tomorrow. KTM rider Marco Maddii was third at the start and had to hold one of the fastest Latvian riders, Lauris Freibergs, right behind him.

MX2
Red Bull Teka KTM Factory racing MX2’s Jeffrey Herlings got a very important overall victory this weekend in Idaiatuba. The Dutch took advantage of the mistake Roczen made when leading the second heat and Herlings crossed the finish line in the first position. However, Herlings admitted that he needs to work hard once back in Europe to close the gap between him and Roczen.
Ken Roczen from Red Bull Teka KTM Factory racing MX2 won the first race easily, but he crashed twice in the second race and lost the overall victory. However, Roczen is still the leader of the series with 14 points advantage over Herlings.
Monster Energy Yamaha’s Gautier Paulin got his first podium of the season after finishing third in both heats. The French rider confessed he is very satisfied with such result because the hard work he has done with his team has been finally compensated.
CLS Monster Energy Kawasaki Pro Circuit managed to finish fourth overall, even starting from the very outside due to his disqualification at yesterday’s qualifying race. Searle is still third in the Championship but he is now 35 points away the leader of the Championship Ken Roczen.

Rockstar Energy Suzuki World MX1’s Clement Desalle got the perfect weekend in Glen Helen. After winning the qualifying race yesterday, Clement took the lead of both heats right at the very beginning and kept it until the end. The Belgian rider is very pleased to get the red plate back and he is now six points ahead of Max Nagl.
Red Bull Teka KTM Factory Racing MX1’s Max Nagl succeeded in being on the podium, but it was not an easy weekend for the German. Nagl did not make very good starts this weekend and had to fight really hard from the back.
Third was Honda World Motocross’ Evgeny Bobryshev thanks to his sixth and third result. It was the maiden podium for the Russian and it is definitely a good boost for his self-confidence. Bobryshev was not that good on the first race, but his good start in the second one and his consistency made him be at the top three.
Kevin Strijbos from Delta Suzuki team got a solid fourth position after his 4-5 result. The Belgian took the holeshot of the second heat and he missed the podium for only one point.
Red Bull Teka KTM Factory racing MX1’s Antonio Cairoli completed the top five in Glen Helen. The Italian was second in the first race, but he was not that fortunate in the second one, as he was involved in a crash with Steven Frossard at the very beginning of the race. The Italian is now third in the Championship, 24 points behind the leader Clement Desalle.
Monster Energy Yamaha’s David Philippaerts did not have very good starts in both heats, especially in the second one where he had to start from the 15th position. Philippaerts was finally sixth and he is now fifth in the point standings.

Red Bull Teka Factory Racing MX1’s Toni Cairoli obtained his first GP victory of the season after his ninth position in Bulgaria. Due to his knee injury, the Italian had not ridden for the last two weeks, but he felt really confortable on his KTM and managed to win both heats. Cairoli expressed his satisfaction for being back again on the top and he is looking forward to repeat such performance in the upcoming Grand Prix in the USA.
Red Bull Teka KTM Factory Racing MX1’s Max Nagl was second overall, but he admitted that if he had been mentally better during the first heat, he might have obtained the overall victory. The German felt much better on the second moto and took the lead after eight laps.
Monster Energy Yamaha’s David Philippaerts was on top of the podium after his 4-3 result. The Italian rode second most of the second moto, and eventually he managed to take the lead over Rui Gonçalves. Rockstar Energy Suzuki World MX1’s Clement Desalle got the first Grand Prix victory of the season, the sixth in his career. The Belgian was second in the first heat, even having an unfortunate crash during the last lap when he was trying to find some new lines. On the second race, Desalle took the holeshot and led the race until Steve Frossard and later on Jonathan Barragán overtook him. However, the Belgian rider managed to place himself at the front of the pack and kept such position until the chequered flag.
Motocross Energy Yamaha rider Steven Frossard had an excellent weekend in Sevlievo, which was his first Grand Prix in the MX1 class. After winning yesterday’s Qualifying race, Frossard did an excellent start in the first race and dominated it from beginning to end. The second start was not that good, but Frossard’s managed to be second right after the opening lap. By the end of the heat, the French rider made some mistakes and he had to settle down with a second overall position being tight in points with Desalle.
Third was Kawasaki Racing Team’s Jonathan Barragán, who was back on the podium after a long absence due to the several injuries he suffered last year. The Spanish rider could only finish sixth in the first race, but in the second one he got quite a good start and his solid riding took him into the lead. However, Desalle and Frossard came back really fast from behind and Barragán decided to ride safe in order not to risk the third overall position.

FUNCHAL (Portugal), 10 March - Following the cancellation of the Motocross Grand Prix of Catalunya due to the world economical crisis, which has forced the Catalonian government to significantly reduce their budgets, Youthstream confirms an agreement has been made with Mila Events to organise the Grand Prix of Spain on the same date at a different location which will be announced shortly by the FIM.
This is proof of Youthstream's hard work in promoting the Motocross World Championship, as there is always a new venue ready to enter the MXGP world.

FUNCAL,(Portugal) 8 march 2011,Mr. Vincenzo Mazzi, President of the UEM stated: ‘The Management Council welcomed this agreement with a lot of interest because it will help to make way for an economical autonomy. Relations with Youthstream have always been rich of satisfaction. With this contract we are working on giving more value to our cooperation in the interest of riders and Federations.’
Mr. Giuseppe Luongo believes this a very important step for the future of Motocross in Europe and said, ‘80% of all the business linked to the Motocross World Championship is based in Europe and for this reason, as has already happened in many major sports like football and athletics, etc, we have to develop the European Championship and give more value to the European title. In the meantime we will continue developing the 125 2 stroke and EMX2 Championships which are already very successful.
‘Youthstream and UEM are also working together on a project ‘save the young talent’, this programme will support young riders coming from the European Championship to enter in top teams and help them have the right support so that they are able to grow.’
Mr. Luongo continued by saying, ‘We are working on giving more value to the Motocross of European Nations (MXOEN) and from 2012 we would like to see all the National teams participating with their top riders. And on top of that a new ‘European Champions League’ is being created with all the top European riders from the World and European Championships coming together in a unique event to compete for the European Champions title.
